RentAWeb Terms of Service

These terms govern RentAWeb, the rental website service provided by DP Online Marketing Ltd. Please read them before you pay. By making your first payment you accept these terms, and they form part of your agreement with us.
1.Who we are

2.It is a rental, not a purchase
- You rent your website for a monthly fee. You do not own the website, its design, build, code or files unless and until you buy it outright (see section 9).
- The website, its design and all underlying code remain the property of DPOM throughout the rental.
- You own the content you provide to us, such as your text, images, logo and brand assets.
3.What is included
- Design, build and hosting of your website.
- SSL certificate and daily backups.
- Business email, where included in your package.
- Unlimited changes to your content (text and images), either by asking us or by editing it yourself any time in our Nova CMS.
4.What you pay, and when
Your first 3 months are payable in advance today to start your build. Your monthly payment then begins automatically in month 4 and continues every month after that, taken from the card on file.
- Month 4 billing, and every payment after it, begins on time and cannot be paused, delayed, reduced or stopped for any reason, including where the build is delayed because you are still deciding, have not provided your brief, content or approvals, or we are waiting on you.
- All prices exclude sales tax, which is added at the prevailing rate.
- Payments already made are non-refundable, including the 3 months paid in advance.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend or take down your website until the account is brought up to date.
- Prices may be reviewed for renewals or material changes in scope, on reasonable notice.
5.Design and revisions
- Your build includes one design revision. So we get it right first time, please give us a detailed brief covering the look, feel, layout and anything you specifically need.
- We will amend the design once. Any design changes beyond that single revision are a paid extra, quoted and agreed in advance before work begins.
- Changes to your content (text and images) are unlimited and included, and are separate from design revisions.
6.Your responsibilities
- Provide your brief, content, images and approvals promptly so we can build and launch your site.
- You confirm you own, or have permission to use, all materials you give us (text, images, logos, trademarks), and that they do not infringe anyone's rights or break the law.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content, including any claims, prices and regulated information.
- The website must be used lawfully and not for anything prohibited, harmful or fraudulent.
7.Your domain
- Where a domain is included free on your quote, we register and provide it for use with your rental website.
- If you already own a domain, you keep ownership and we point it at your new site.
- Unless stated as included, a domain name is an optional extra.
8.Canceling and taking your site down
- There is no long contract. You can stop at any time after your initial 3 months by canceling your subscription.
- When you stop paying, your website is taken offline and removed within 30 days. Because it is a rental, the build and code are not transferred to you unless you have bought it outright.
- Payments already made are not refunded.
9.Buying it outright
- You can buy your website outright at any time at the fixed buyout price stated on your quote ().
- Once the buyout is paid in full, the website files are yours to keep. Ongoing hosting, email and support are then only provided if separately agreed.
- There is never any pressure to buy.
10.Online store add-on
- Where purchased, the online store add-on turns your website into a shop with up to 200 products and 20 categories, and includes payment integration with Stripe, PayPal or both.
- We set the store up and handle changes to your content. Adding and editing your individual products is your responsibility, with full access to the CMS to do so.
11.Hosting, uptime and backups
- We host your site on a reputable platform and take daily backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
- We are not liable for downtime, delays or data issues caused by third parties, including hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors or your own actions.
12.No guarantee of results
Your website is a marketing tool. We design and build it to a professional standard and to meet Core Web Vitals, but we do not guarantee any specific rankings, traffic, inquiries, sales or other commercial results.
13.Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot be limited by law.
- Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with RentAWeb is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business.
14.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the current one and applies to your rental. Your full agreement is confirmed with your order.
15.Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
