Working with us
What does a technical SEO agency do?
It makes sure search engines can crawl, index, load and understand your website. That means fixing blocked or missing pages, slow loading, duplicate addresses, broken links and missing structured data, then re-checking regularly because sites change. At DPOM it is part of every SEO package.
Where are you based?
We are a technical SEO agency businesses can phone and visit: our team is in Grantham, just outside Nottingham, on UK office hours, and we work with sites all over the country.
How much do your technical SEO services cost?
There is no separate fee. Technical SEO is included in every SEO package: the essentials on Local SEO, full technical SEO on National, and large catalogs on E-Commerce. Packages start from $249 a month; see SEO pricing and packages for the detail.
Do you offer a technical SEO audit?
Yes, free. We crawl your site, test the mobile pages with Google’s PageSpeed test and, if you give us access, read your Search Console and Google Analytics. You get a written list with examples from your own site.
Do you fix the problems or just report them?
Both, within a clear line. Titles, headings, internal links, markup and page content we change for you, once you approve. Server settings, theme code and how a JavaScript framework renders are developer work, so we write a precise brief and check the result. We do not do custom development.
Can you help if we are moving to a new website or platform?
Yes. We protect your rankings through a redesign or replatform with careful redirect mapping and technical checks. Bring us in before the move, not after: a missing redirect map is far cheaper to prevent than to repair.
Technical SEO explained
What is technical SEO?
The part of SEO that is about the website itself rather than its words or links: whether pages can be found, kept in Google’s index, loaded quickly and understood. Our technical SEO basics guide covers it without jargon.
What are Core Web Vitals?
Three measurements Google collects from real visitors: how quickly the main content appears, how fast the page responds to a tap or click, and how much the layout jumps while loading. They are reported in Search Console and are one ranking signal among many.
Does JavaScript hurt SEO?
It can. If content and links only exist after scripts run, Google must render the page to see them, which is slower and less dependable. Many small business sites never hit this. We check what Google sees once rendered and report any gap.
What is a canonical tag?
A small instruction on a page saying which address is the official one when the same content appears at several. It stops duplicates splitting your ranking signals between versions.
Do I need an XML sitemap and a robots.txt file?
Yes. The sitemap lists the pages you want crawled and the robots file says where not to go. Both are easy to get wrong, and a bad robots rule can hide a whole site, so we check them on every site.
How long until technical fixes show results?
Google has to recrawl before it notices a change, which takes days to weeks, and the effect on rankings depends on how serious the problem was. Fixing a blocked page can show quickly; speed and structure work builds over months. Nobody can promise a ranking.
Is it right for you?
Is technical SEO worth it for a small business?
Usually it is the foundation. If Google cannot reach or understand your pages, new content does little. If the audit shows the technical side is sound, we say so and point the effort at content instead.
Do online shops need it more?
Often, yes. Filters, sorting and variants create thousands of near-duplicate addresses, so the same fault repeats across the catalog. See our e-commerce SEO services for more.
Will technical SEO help me show up in AI answers?
It helps with the basics: AI crawlers must be allowed in and pages must say plainly what you do. Checking this is part of AI search optimization, which is in every package. Nobody can guarantee a place in an AI answer.
